Introduction:
The menstrual cycle is the process of production of ovum and menstruating. The menstrual cycle prepares the uterus for pregnancy. Normal menstrual cycle ranges from 22-35 days. 1st day of bleeding from the vagina is considered as the start of the menstrual cycle. The menstrual cycle consists of four phases: menstrual phase (day 1 to day 5), follicular phase (day 1 to day 13), ovulation (day 14), and luteal phase (day 15 to day 28)
