Chapter 28, Problem 4TYU
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
The meristem is a tissue that consists of undifferentiated cells. It is located in the growth zone of plants. Meristematic cells develop into various plant organs and meristematic tissues help in plant growth.
The dermal tissue is the outermost layer of plants and it prevents the plant from physical damage and pathogens. The secondary xylem provides nutrients and water for plant growth. Leaves (collectively known as foliage) and stem of the plant together form the shoot.
