Twitch fibers are of two types like the slow twitch fibers and fast twitch fibers. The slow fibers contain more myoglobin, have more mitochondria and are red in color. The fast twitch fibers are yellow in color and contain lesser mitochondria and produce lesser energy as compared to the heavy muscles.
