Chapter 29.4, Problem 2MQ
Summary Introduction
The rapid spread of infectious disease to a huge number of individuals in a given population within a short time period is called an epidemic. The crucial epidemics are typically classified as either host-to-host epidemics or common source epidemics. The epidemics of infectious disease are usually caused by various factors such as a genetic alteration in the pathogen reservoir and an alteration in the ecology of the host population.
