Concept introduction:

In all organisms, whether they may be unicellular or they may be multicellular organism there are certain substances that help in the process of catalysis. They are called enzymes and as they do catalysis in living organisms, they are called biocatalysts. Similar to catalysts, biocatalysts are not used up during the course of a reaction and they can be used again and again and several times.
