The characteristic features of the fetal period.
Introduction:
The fetal period includes the time of growth and maturation of the body. Most cells and tissue differentiation is concluded in the first half of the fetal period. At the beginning of the fetal period, the size of the fetus is approximately 30 millimeters in length. Before the initiation of the fetal period, the precursors required for all the major organs are formed.
