- A college course may have one or more scheduled sections or may not have a scheduled section. Attributes of COURSE include Course ID, Course Name, and Units. Attributes of SECTION include Section Number and Semester ID. Semester ID is composed of two parts: Semester and Year. Section Number is an integer (such as 1 or 2) that distinguishes one section from another for the same course but does not uniquely identify a section. How did you model SECTION? Why did you choose this way versus alternative ways to model SECTION?arrow_forwardIn order to declare a variable, "type" alone is not sufficient. To phrase this another way, each variable has both a data type as well as some other form of attribute. This idea enables us to represent the characteristics of any variable; but, how can we put it to use?arrow_forwardFind out how and when to use supertype/subtype connections in your data models.arrow_forward
- Let's say you wish to train and assess a classifier using just a little amount of data. Which approach would you use to assess the classifier? Why?arrow_forwardTo be more specific, what do you mean when you say "interpolation of characteristics"?arrow_forwardWhat does it imply precisely when someone says "Identifier attribute"?arrow_forward
- Give few special guidelines for naming attributes?arrow_forwardGive an example of each of the following: a. a supertype/subtype relationship where the disjoint rule applies b. a supertype/ subtype relationship where the overlap rule appliesarrow_forwardThe word "Identifier attribute" seems to be thrown about a lot without a clear definition.arrow_forward
