Introduction:
Ischemia is a medical condition, in which the blood supply to different parts of the body or the organs is reduced. Ischemia occurs due to the blockage of the blood vessels (arteriosclerosis) that lead to the affected area or organ.
This condition is generally not fatal and can be treated by increasing the circulation of the affected area. However, the ischemia of the cardiac muscles can prove to be life-threatening for the patient.
