Summary Introduction
Introduction:
Triglycerides are ester compounds derived from one glycerol and three fatty acid molecules, hence the name, Triglyceride. Body fat is mainly formed from these triglycerides. The triglycerides are divided into two − Saturated and Unsaturated fats. Saturated fats are saturated with a hydrogen atom and are present in solid form in room temperature having a higher melting point. Unsaturated fats have less hydrogen atoms and have a double carbon bond making it difficult for the hydrogen atoms to bond with them.
