Summary Introduction
Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are caused by herpesvirus, human papillomavirus, and chlamydia that are very widespread among sexually active individuals. They are very hard to diagnose and treat compared to other STDs. The causative agent of chlamydia is Chlamydia trachomatis, an obligately intracellular bacteria. Human papillomavirus (HPV) and herpesviruses are double-stranded DNA viruses transmit from one person to another through sexual contact.
