What is the proper method for stopping a weld pool so it can be easily restarted?
The process for stopping a weld pool so that it can be easily started.
The proper method for stopping the weld pool is to slightly taper down the molten weld pool by turning the torch off.
This tapering down allows the molten weld pool to solidify slowly before the flame is put to off completely.
The removal rate of the flame decides the strength of the weld. If the removal rate is high that means if flame is taken away very fast from the molten weld pool, the weld starts to oxidize rapidly. This oxidation suddenly throws out a burst of sparks and the weld becomes weaker to a great extent.
