Chapter 32, Problem 4TC
Summary Introduction

To describe:

Which type of gene is responsible for cold resistance inherited from Neanderthals?

Introduction:

The Homo neanderthalensis are also known as Neanderthals, they are found to be extinct before 40,000 years. Neanderthals and humans are genetically 99.7% similar and chimpanzees are genetically 98.8% similar.

Comparing with the modern man they have a big body with short legs, projecting nose (wide and broad), an elongated skull with thick and long hair. Modern man inhibits some of the beneficial features from Neanderthals. They are known to exhibit the cold resistance properties, as they used to live in very cold regions.
