Program Plan Intro

Decision structure:

Decision structure executes a set of statement under certain conditions. It is also known as selection structure. The action is performed only when the condition exists and takes different action depending upon the state “True” or “False”. The two categories of decision structure are given as follows:

• • Single alternative decision structure
• • Dual alternative decision structure

Single alternative decision structure:

This gives only alternative path of execution. “if” statement is used to write a single alternative decision structure.

• • If the condition is “true”, it executes the statement inside the block.
