Given information: The two inequalities are
Consider the first inequality.
Use subtraction property to make an equivalent inequality. Subtract 4 from each side of the inequality.
Consider the second inequality.
Use addition property to make an equivalent inequality. Add 4 to each side of the inequality.
The method of solving both the inequalities is similar as properties of inequality and equivalent inequality is formed.
To solve both the inequalities different property is used as addition and subtraction property. While solving first inequality a number is subtracted from each side and to solve second inequality a number is added to each side.
