The endocrine system is comprised of glands, which generate and secrete hormones, chemical substances formed in the body that control the action of the organ and the body cells. The metabolism, sexual function and development, and body growth are controlled by theses hormones.

The central organ of the human nervous system is the brain along with the spinal cord. The brain comprises of cerebrum, cerebellum, and the brainstem. The largest part of the brain is the cerebrum. The activities of the body such as coordinating, integrating, processing, and decision making are controlled by the brain.
