Painting a Room The walls of Anita’s family room are illustrated below. All of the walls are 8 feet high, and the rear and front walls are each 22 feet long. Each of the side walls is 16 feet long. The French door is 3 feet wide and 7 feet high, while the sliding door is 6 feet wide 7 feet high. The window on one side wall is 4 feet by 3feet; the window on the other side wall is 2 feet by 4 feet.
Use the figure and table to answer Exercises 65 and 66.
Anita’s landlord will paint her family room. He has agreed to left Anita purchase the paint so that she can choose the brand and color she pants. The landlord will reimburse Anita only for the cost the paint used. Anita must buy only as much paint as she need since the extra paint cannot be returned. Describe the quantity of paint that Anitashould purchase if the landlord will put 1 cost of paint on of the walls and the ceiling of the family room.
