To write:
About the difference between advances in science and advance in technology using the discovery of the microscope as an example.
Introduction:
A microscope is an instrument that magnifies a minute particle using different sets of lenses. The magnified image is then observed by different means. The source used for illumination of the particle under observation, its magnification, and observation differ in different types of microscope. A simple type of microscope is a light microscope that uses light to illuminate the object and lenses to magnify it.
Explanation of Solution
The Discovery of a microscope is an example of advancement in technology. Different strategies are being employed from time to time to develop different instruments. These instruments when used in science to study different scientific phenomenon or structures then it leads to advancement in scientific studies. This is termed as an advance in science. In this example, the use of a microscope to study different microscopic organisms lead to advance in science. Both advances in science and technology run parallel but the domain of their work differs. Advancement in science depends on advancement in technology and also new discoveries in science help in applying those studies for advancing technology. Therefore, it can be said that science and technology are interdependent and yet possess different domains.
Advancement in science depends on advancement in technology and also new discoveries in science help in applying those studies for advancing technology. In this example, the discovery of a microscope (advance in technology) leads to the study of microorganisms (advance in science). Thus both science and technology are interdependent.
