The digestive tract of a planarian with that of an earthworm.

Introduction:

Digestion takes place by the absorption of food inside the body of an organism. The planarians include the tapeworms and flatworms which do not have organs for digesting food. The absorption of food takes place from the surface of body called cuticle. The annelids include earthworms having a digestive system and a gizzard for absorbing the food.
