The gametogenesis is the process through which the individual forms gametes. In this process, the diploid or haploid cells undergo cell division and form gamete cells. The gametogenesis might involve meiosis (in case of diploids) or mitosis (in case of haploids). Through spermatogenesis, haploid sperms are formed and through oogenesis, an ovum is formed.
