Chapter 35.2, Problem 10SAQ
Summary Introduction
To determine:
The two mechanisms by which the force of contraction can be increased in the vertebrate muscles.
Concept introduction:
Muscles are the contracting and relaxing units of the muscular system. The muscles are responsible for the movement. The brain along with spinal cord controls each and every movement in the human body. The nerve cells are responsible for the muscle movement. The muscle fiber responds to the stimulus provided by the motor neuron by the secretion of neurotransmitters. The muscle contracts by receiving the electrical impulse.
