Concept introduction:
The Australian redback spider (Latrodectus hasselti) is arthropods, belongs to the family Therididae. It is highly venomous spider native to the south Australian region. The adult female is much larger than an adult male. The females are identified by their black body with the red strip on the back, hence called “redback”. The female redback spider is cannibal which has a tendency to eat the male during, before or after copulation, called sexual cannibalism.
