Summary Introduction

Introduction: In angiosperms, after pollination, pollen grains on the stigma germinate and develop a pollen tube that extends and reaches the ovule, in which two sperm cells are released into the embryo sac. In double fertilization, one sperm fuses with the egg and forms zygote, and the other fuses with two polar nuclei and forms a triploid cell which develops into the endosperm.
