Chapter 4, Problem 11TY
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
In the human body, the kidneys, bladder, ureters, and urethra make the urinary system. Its main function is to produce, accumulate, and eliminate the urine. It also removes other wastes from the body, regulates the level of metabolites, electrolytes, and blood pH (potential of hydrogen). Urine is stored and released by the bladder. It comes out of the body through the urethra.

The presence of a full bladder triggers the bladder to contract. As a little urine is released, this causes more contractions, which will completely empty the bladder. This is an example of: a. homeostatic regulation b. uroregulation c. negative feedbackd. positive feedback e. reverse feedback
Regulation of physiological variables occurs primarily through
mechanisms.
a. negative feedback
b. positive feedback
c. urine formation
d. feedforward
e. myogenic
The kidneys play a major role in maintaining
A)homeostasis by removing urea, water, and other wastes from the blood.
B)the concentration of digestive enzymes in the blood.
C)the proper glucose levels in the blood.
D)the proper breathing rate.
