Unlike loose connective tissue, which has loosely arranged fibers, dense connective tissue has tightly packed fibers. How does this structure affect how the tissue responds to forces and tension?
When can the connective tissue's regenerating ability be clearly seen? What type of connective tissue cell is engaged in the repair process?
In what regions of the body would you expect to find dense irregular connective tissue, and why would the tissue be located in these regions?
