In the entity-relationship model, an identifier of one entity is dependent on the identifier of another entity and it is special kind of weak entity.

In entity-relationship model, id-dependent entity is represented as rounded corners.

Note: Identifier is an attribute which is used to uniquely identify a particular entity instances from an entity.
