Chapter 41, Problem 4PL
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
The blood consists of cells and plasma. Red blood cells (erythrocyte), white blood cells (leukocyte) and platelets are the types of cells present in blood. Erythrocytes have biconcave shape and function in transport of oxygen and carbondioxide. White blood cells can be categorized as granulocytes and agranulocytes. Granulocytes consist of neutrophil, eosinophil and basophil. Agranulocytes consist of lymphocyte and monocyte. Leukocytes defend the body against infections.
