To Calculate: First bus reaches at 6. After 9 minutes second bus reaches at 6:09. Third bus after 9 minutes that is at 6:18

Add 9 to get the reach time for the next bus. The sequence of bus timings are

  $6,6:09,6:18,6:27,6:36,6:45,6:54,7:03,7:12,7:21$

You reached bus stop at $7:16A.M$ . As per the sequence, bus arrive at $7:21A.M$

Difference in time $7:21-7:16=5$

So, you wait for a bus for 5 minutes
