Blood Pressure (BP) is measured by using two numbers. The normal blood pressure of the human is 120/80 mmHg. The systolic pressure is the analysis of the pressure in the blood vessels (arteries) when the heartbeats. Systolic pressure is identified by the first upper number. The diastolic pressure is the analysis of the pressure when the heart relaxes between beats. Diastolic pressure is identified by the second lower number. A sphygmomanometer is the measurement apparatus to analyze blood pressure (BP).
