Blood is a mobile connective tissue in humans. It is also a carrier of metabolites, proteins, hormones and some other cells or substances. It is formed of three parts, which are serum, formed elements and the clotting factors along with platelets. Serum is the part of the blood that is neither composed of clotting factors nor the blood cell.
