Latency:

Latency is the measure of how many seconds a network will take to transfer a data from one device to another.

• Sometimes, latency will be a measure of the data transferred from a sender to the receiver and again the data reached to the sender (i.e., the round-trip time).
• Usually, it represents the delay of the network.
