The microscopic structure of the compact bone.
Introduction:
The bones form the axial skeleton of the body and are responsible for forming the longitudinal axis of the body. The bones help in providing the form and shape to the body. They also play a very important role in the support, movement, protection, and storage of the body. The tissues of the bones can be categorized into the two forms: the compact bone and the spongy bone. The compact bone is homogenous, dense, and smooth. The spongy bone is made up of tiny pieces of the needle-like bones.
