Future Value
Suppose you have a certain amount of money in a savings account that earns compound monthly interest, and you want to calculate the amount that you will have after a specific number of months. The formula is as follows:
The terms in the formula are:
▪ F is the future value of the account after the specified time period.
▪ P is the present value of the account.
▪ i is the monthly interest rate.
▪ t is the number of months.

- When you borrow money to buy a house, a car, or for some other purpose, you repay the loan by making periodic payments over a certain period of time. Of course, the lending company will charge interest on the loan. Every periodic payment consists of the interest on the loan and the payment toward the principal amount. To be specific, suppose that you borrow $1,000 at an interest rate of 7.2% per year and the payments are monthly. Suppose that your monthly payment is $25. Now, the interest is 7.2% per year and the payments are monthly, so the interest rate per month is 7.2/12 = 0.6%. The first months interest on $1,000 is 1000 0.006 = 6. Because the payment is $25 and the interest for the first month is $6, the payment toward the principal amount is 25 6 = 19. This means after making the first payment, the loan amount is 1,000 19 = 981. For the second payment, the interest is calculated on $981. So the interest for the second month is 981 0.006 = 5.886, that is, approximately $5.89. This implies that the payment toward the principal is 25 5.89 = 19.11 and the remaining balance after the second payment is 981 19.11 = 961.89. This process is repeated until the loan is paid. Write a program that accepts as input the loan amount, the interest rate per year, and the monthly payment. (Enter the interest rate as a percentage. For example, if the interest rate is 7.2% per year, then enter 7.2.) The program then outputs the number of months it would take to repay the loan. (Note that if the monthly payment is less than the first months interest, then after each payment, the loan amount will increase. In this case, the program must warn the borrower that the monthly payment is too low, and with this monthly payment, the loan amount could not be repaid.)arrow_forward(Data processing) Your professor has asked you to write a C++ program that determines grades at the end of the semester. For each student, identified by an integer number between 1 and 60, four exam grades must be kept, and two final grade averages must be computed. The first grade average is simply the average of all four grades. The second grade average is computed by weighting the four grades as follows: The first grade gets a weight of 0.2, the second grade gets a weight of 0.3, the third grade gets a weight of 0.3, and the fourth grade gets a weight of 0.2. That is, the final grade is computed as follows: 0.2grade1+0.3grade2+0.3grade3+0.2grade4 Using this information, construct a 60-by-7 two-dimensional array, in which the first column is used for the student number, the next four columns for the grades, and the last two columns for the computed final grades. The program’s output should be a display of the data in the completed array. For testing purposes, the professor has provided the following data:arrow_forwardPython elif ifarrow_forward
- Lucky Pairs Richie and Raechal are participating in a game called "Lucky pairs" at the Annual Game Fair in their Company. As per the rules of the contest, two members form a team and Richie initially has the number A and Raechal has the number B.There are a total of N turns in the game, and Richie and Raechal alternatively take turns. In each turn, the player's number is multiplied by 2. Richie has the first turn. Suppose after the entire N turns, Richie’s number has become C, and Raechal’s number has become D, the final score of the team will be the sum of the scores (C+D) of both the players after N turns. Write a program to facilitate the quiz organizers to find the final scores of the team. Then, if the discriminant is a positive value, there are two roots which are real and unequal. The roots can be computed as follows: -b+ Vb? – 4ac 2a Further, if the discriminant is a negative value, then there are two imaginary roots. You can make one transaction – a deposit or a withdrawal - each month. Interest is added to the account at the beginning of each month. The monthly interest rate is the yearly percentage rate divided by 12.arrow_forwardIntroduction Some number of teams are participating in a race. You are not told how many teams are participating but you do know that: Each team has a name, which is one of the uppercase letters A-Z. No two teams have the same name, so there are a maximum number of 26 teams. Each team has the same number of members. No two runners cross the finish line at the same time – i.e. there are no ties. At the end of the race we can write the results as a string of characters indicating the order in which runners crossed the finish line. For example: ZZAZAA We can see there were two teams: A and Z. Team A’s runners finished in 3rd, 5th and 6th place. Team Z’s runners finished in 1st, 2nd and 4th place. Scoring the race Each runner is assigned a score equal to their finishing place. In the example above team Z’s runners achieved scores of 1, 2 and 4. Team A’s runners scores were 3, 5, and 6 respectively. The team’s score is the sum of the members score divided by the number of people on…arrow_forwardTask using C language Two spacecrafts are traveling at different speeds from Earth to Mars. While spacecraft A doubles its speed every day, spacecraft B triples its speed in the same period. Given their initial speeds, your task is to determine how many days spacecraft B will take to travel faster than spacecraft A. If the initial speed of spacecraft A is 7, it will be 14 after 1 day, 28 after 2 days, and so on. If the initial speed of spacecraft B is 4, it will be 12 after 1 day, 36 after 2 days, and so on. If the initial speed of spacecrafts A and B are 7 and 4, respectively, B will be faster than A after 2 days, as the speed of A will be 28 and the speed of B will be 36. Requirements Follow the format of the examples below. You will be given several test cases in a single run, and you must provide an answer for all of them.
