Chapter 50.2, Problem 4C
Summary Introduction
To draw: A diagram illustrating the endocrine regulation of male reproduction and label it.
Introduction: Reproductive system (or genital system) is involved in sexual reproduction. The male and female reproductive systems function to propagate the species. The primary reproductive structures of the male reproductive system are testes. The accessory structures of the male reproductive system include a group of male accessory glands, the penis (organ of copulation), and a complex set of tubules and ducts from testis to the penis.

- Figure 43.15 Which of the following statements about hormone regulation of the female reproductive cycle is false? LH and FSH are produced in the pituitary, and estradiol and progesterone are produced in the ovaries. Estradiol and progesterone secreted from the corpus luteum cause the endometrium to thicken. Both progesterone and estradiol are produced by the follicles.
