The two methods for attaching the brake lining to the shoes are riveting and bonding.

Explanation of Solution

There are two methods which are generally used to attach the brake lining and brake shoes. These methods are riveting and bonding. Although there are two methods but the position of shoes in both the methods are held by spring tension. Further, the friction for stopping the car is provided against the drum by the brake shoe lining and this lining consists of heat-resistant fibers and molded with synthetic bonding agents which has a high temperature.
