Introduction:
On the basis of the presence of land or sediments and water, the distance from the shore, and the depth of the layers, an ocean is divided into several layers. The organisms are distributed in accordance with the sunlight and availability of food. While the upper layers receive sufficient amount of sunlight, the lower ones are barred from any light.
