Introduction:
Epithelial cells are a sheet of adhering cells that cover the body surfaces and cavities in the form of internal and external linings of body organs and tissues of glands. The main functions of the epithelial cells are protection, secretion, absorption, excretion, sensation, and filtration. Epithelia consist of three classes: simple (one layer of cells), pseudostratified, and stratified (consists of 2 to 20 layers of cells).
