An ecotone separates serpentine soil and normal soil. In this area, the normal soil is 7-8m apart from serpentine soil. Serpentine soil is different from normal soil. In serpentine soil, there is a high concentration of nickel, chromium, iron, and low concentration of copper and calcium.
