Introduction:
A gland is a single cell or organ that contains a collection of secretory epithelial cells. It is formed by epithelial cells in the underlying layer of connective tissues. It has two major functions namely to secrete substance or remove waste from the body.
Exocrine gland develops into a duct, which is essential for the secretions. The secretions are released in the form of sweat, mammary, salivary, and tear glands. It is also released from the lumen cavity such as the mouth or intestine.
