Explanation of Solution
Some regions of the earth’s surface receive more energy from the Sun as compared to others. Seasonal variation is related to the distance from the equator as the farther north or south region may have stronger solar radiation in the winter and the weaker in the summer. The solar radiation is concentrated over a smaller surface area, causing warmer temperatures. At higher latitudes, the angle of solar radiation is smaller, causing energy to be spread over a larger area of the surface and cooler temperatures.
