To analyze:
Which technique out of norther blotting, RT-PCR and microarray can be used to study gene expression of HMG2 in yeast cells cultures in glucose and galactose?
Which technique should be used to compare the expression of all the genes on chromosome 4?
Introduction:
Northern blotting is a technique that is used to study expression of genes by checking the concentration of RNA in a cell. RT-PCR (Real time polymerase chain reaction) involves the multiplication of cellular RNA into cDNA using reverse transcriptase and then detect its concentration from time to time or real time to determine the expression of a gene. Microarray is a technique used to study the expression of thousands of genes at a time.
