Days Out
Write a
• A function called by main that asks the user for the number of employees in the company. This value should be returned as an int. (The function accepts no arguments.)
• A function called by main that accepts one argument: the number of employees in the company. The function should ask the user to enter the number of days each employee missed during the past year. The total of these days should be returned as an int.
• A function called by main that takes two arguments: the number of employees in the company and the total number of days absent for all employees during the year. The function should return, as a double, the average number of days absent. (This function does not perform screen output and does not ask the user for input.)
Input Validation: Do not accept a number less than 1 for the number of employees. Do not accept a negative number for the days any employee missed.

- Mark the following statements as true or false: a. To use a predefined function in a program, you need to know only the name of the function and how to use it. (1) b. A value-returning function returns only one value. (2, 3) c. Parameters allow you to use different values each time the function is called. (2, 7, 9) d. When a return statement executes in a user-defined function, the function immediately exits. (3, 4) e. A value-returning function returns only integer values. (4) f. A variable name cannot be passed to a value parameter. (3, 6) g. If a C++ function does not use parameters, parentheses around the empty parameter list are still required. (2, 3, 6) h. In C + + , the names of the corresponding formal and actual parameters must be the same. (3, 4, 6) i. A function that changes the value of a reference parameter also changes the value of the actual parameter. (7) j. Whenever the value of a reference parameter changes, the value of the actual parameter changes. (7) k. In C++, function definitions can be nested; that is, the definition of one function can be enclosed in the body of another function. (9) l. Using global variables in a program is a better programming style than using local variables, because extra variables can be avoided. (10) m. In a program, global constants are as dangerous as global variables. (10) n. The memory for a static variable remains allocated between function calls. (11)arrow_forwardH1. A value returning function executes its statements and then returns a value. true or false Explain with details also explain wrong optionarrow_forwardtask1: write a void function divisor that receives an integer number and display its divisor on screen including 1 and itself. write the main function to test your function. task2: You are required to create a conversion program. First ask the user his choice and then convert. • Conversion from Pound to Kg. (1 Pound = 0.453 Kg) • Conversion from Feet to centimeter (1 Foot = 30.48 cm) • Convert Hours & minutes in Daysarrow_forward
- (Square of Asterisks) Write a function that displays a solid square of asterisks whose side isspecified in integer parameter side. For example, if side is 4, the function displays: **** **** **** ****arrow_forwardC++ Functions provide a means to modularize applications Write a function called "Calculate" takes two double arguments returns a double result For example, the following is a function that takes a single "double" argument and returns a "double" result double squareArea(double side){ double lArea; lArea = side * side; return lArea;}arrow_forwardLAB: User-Defined Functions: Miles to track laps One lap around a standard high-school running track is exactly 0.25 miles. Define a function named MilesToLaps that takes a float as a parameter, representing the number of miles, and returns a float that represents the number of laps. Then, write a main program that takes a number of miles as an input, calls function MilesToLaps() to calculate the number of laps, and outputs the number of laps. Ex: If the input is: 1.5 the output is: 6.0 Ex: If the input is: 2.2 the output is: 8.8 Your program should define and call a function: Function MilesToLaps(float userMiles) returns float userLaps Note: Remove all comments outside any functions before running the program.arrow_forward

All numbers and return values should be of type double.arrow_forwarddone in c++ Program Specifications: Write a program that asks for a user's name and age, finds the ticket price based on the age, and prints out the user's name, age, and ticket price. The program must define the following 3 functions and call them in the main function. Create a function called getName that takes in no arguments and returns the name of the user. Create a function called getAge that takes in the argument age and uses pass-by-reference to set the age of the user. Ensure that the user cannot put in an age that is negative or greater than 100. Create a function called printTicket that takes in the user's name and age and does the following ○ If they are less than or equal to 13 years old set ticket_Price to 9.99. ○ If their age is greater than 13 and less than 65, set ticket_Price to 19.99. ○ If their age is greater than or equal to 65, set ticket_Price to 12.99. ○ Output to the console the user's name, age and ticket price.arrow_forwardNested function classwork 2 Write 'taxIncome', a user-defined function that calculates income tax. y = taxIncome (income) defines the principal function. The main function calculates adjusted income as income - 6000. Then y = computeTax is called. For y = 0.28*AdjustedIncome, this function uses 'AdjustedIncome'. 'AdjustedIncome' was defined in the main function. Use $80,000 income.arrow_forward
