Chapter 6, Problem 19.1E
(Prime Numbers) A positive integer is prime if it’s divisible by only 1 and itself. For example, 2, 3, 5 and 7 are prime, but 4, 6, 8 and 9 are not. The number 1, by definition, is not prime.
- 1. Write a method that determines whether a number is prime.
- 2. Use this method in an application that determines and displays all the prime numbers less than 10,000. How many numbers up to 10,000 do you have to test to ensure that you’ve found all the primes?
- 3. Initially, you might think that n/2 is the upper limit for which you must test to see whether a number n is prime, but you need only go as high as the square root of n. Rewrite the
program , and run it both ways.

- Use java RECURSION to print out this shape.
- You need to call the method 2 times
- use 2 or 3 for loops
hints:
- for (int i = 0; i < ?????; i++) sout(" ") - for (int i = 0; i < ?????; i++) sout(symbol) - put different if statements when you call yourself, one gets activated when you go up, one gets activated when you go down.
- This method should be used;
public static void printShape4(int row, char symbol, int currentRow) { }
!!! do not use other methods, everything should be inside this method
Correct the following wrong statements.
In Java, once a variable is declared in a method as local variable, it will be visible and could be used in any other method in the program.
c# Now, modify the program so that the major functions appear in the following individual methods:
GetMonth - This method prompts for and returns the month
GetNumMurals - This method prompts for and returns the number of murals scheduled and is called twice -- once for interior murals and once for exterior murals
ComputeRevenue - This method accepts the number of interior and exterior murals scheduled, accepts the month they are scheduled, displays the interior and exterior prices, and then returns the total expected revenue
DataEntry - This method fills an array with customer names and mural codes and is called twice -- once to fill the array of interior murals and once to fill the array of exterior murals
GetSelectedMurals - This method continuously prompts for mural codes and displays jobs of the corresponding type until a sentinel value is entered

- Please answer it in python https://www.codingame.com/ide/puzzle/horse-racing-hyperduals Casablanca’s hippodrome has grown tired of old-fashioned dual racing and has kicked it up a notch: they will now be organizing hyperduals.During a hyperdual, only two horses will participate in the race. In order for the race to be interesting, it is necessary to try to select two horses with similar strength.Write a program which, using a given number of strengths, identifies the two closest strengths and shows their difference with an integer.In a hyperdual, a horse's strength is a bidimensional (Velocity,Elegance) vector. The distance between two strengths (V1,E1) and (V2,E2) is abs(V2-V1)+abs(E2-E1).(This is a harder version of training puzzle “Horse-racing duals”.
