Input is any information or data that is sent to a computer for processing. Input process can be something simple like moving the mouse or clicking the mouse button or it can be complex like scanning a document or downloading photos from a camera.

Input devices are hardware devices that are used to send data to a computer. Devices such as a keyboard, mouse, scanner, webcam, microphone, etc. are considered input devices. Input devices allows users to communicate, interact and feed information and data into the computer for processing, display, storage, and transmission. These devices transform user actions and commands into an electronic signal which can be understood by the computer.

Input devices are very important as they allow users to interact with computers and add any new information. Through these devices, the user exercises control over a computer, its operations, and outputs.
