When an amount of force acts over a body for a certain time interval, it is known as the impulse, which can also be termed as a change in momentum. A force can make a body move. In case, when a person exerts a force on an object to move it to a certain distance, some amount of energy is consumed. The measure of energy that is transferred in moving a body to a particular distance is termed as work, and it can be represented by the expression,

Work=Force×Distance

When the greater amount of force is applied in order to move the object to a longer distance, more will be the change in energy or quantity force.
