Calories from Fat and Carbohydrates
A nutritionist who works for a fitness club helps members by evaluating their diets. As part of her evaluation, she asks members for the number of fat grams and carbohydrate grams that they consume in a day. Then, she calculates the number of calories that result from the fat using the following formula:
Calories from fat = Fat grams × 9
Next, she calculates the number of calories that result from the carbohydrates using the following formula:
Calories from carbs = Carbs grams × 4
Create an application that will make these calculations. In the application, you should have the following methods:
- FatCalories–This method should accept a number of fat grams as an argument and return the number of calories from that amount of fat.
- CarbCalories–This method should accept a number of carbohydrate grams as an argument and return the number of calories from that amount of carbohydrates.

- Salary Calculator Create a program that computes the salary based on an employee's hourly wage and hours worked. Note that employees may work for fractions of an hour, e.g. 1 and a half hours (1.5 hours). Use the following formulas: Less than or equal to 40 hours worked hourly wage * hours worked Over 40, but less than or equal to 65 hours worked (hourly wage * 40) + (hours worked - 40) * (hourly wage * 1.5) Over 65 hours worked (hourly wage * 40) + (hourly wage * 1.5) * 25 + (hours worked - 65) * hourly wage * 2 Also make sure that the hourly wage and hours worked are positive. Otherwise, display the error message: "Invalid input". Please see the sample outputs below to guide the design of your program. main.cc file #include <iomanip> #include <iostream> int main() { // TODO: accept user input to store the hourly wage and hours worked. // Then, include the header file at the top of this file so you can // call your function that computes a…arrow_forwardWidgets and Gizmos An online retailer sells two products: widgets and gizmos. The following method is used to verify actual credit card numbers but, for simplicity, we will describe it for numbers with 8 digits instead of 16: Starting from the rightmost digit, form the sum of every other digit. For example, if the credit card number is 4358 9795, then you form the sum 5 + 7 + 8 + 3 = 23 . Double each of the digits that were not included in the preceding step. Add all digits of the resulting numbers . For example, with the number given above, doubling the digits. starting with the next-to-last one, yields 18 18 10 8. Adding all digits in these values yields 1 + 8 + 1 + 8 + 1 + 0 + 8 = 27 Add the sums of the two preceding steps . If the last digit of the result is 0, the number is valid . In our case , 23 + 27 = 50 , so the number is valid . Write a program that implements this…arrow_forward
- Need help coding in Java Morgan’s Department Store distributes bonuses to its salespeople after the holiday rush. Table 9-6 shows the bonuses, which are based on full weeks worked during the season and the number of positive online customer reviews. Write a program that allows a user to continuously enter values for the number of weeks worked and the number of positive reviews received and displays the appropriate bonus until the user enter a sentinel value: 99.arrow_forwardMax Number Budi, Anto and Hani are playing a game called Max Number. Budi will ask Anto to say N numbers to put into a bag and also ask Hani to say M numbers and remove that number from the bag and next they will find the maximum number from the bag. Format InputThe first line contains two integers N stating total numbers that will be stored into bag and M stating the total numbers that want to be removed from the bag. The second lines contains N numbers that will be stored into the bag. The third lines contains M numbers that want to be removed from the bag. Format OutputOutput with a format “Maximum number is X”, where X is the maximum number in the bag. If no numbers in the bag, the application will give an output “Maximum number is -1” Constraints• 1 ≤ N ≤ 100• 1 ≤ M ≤ N• 1 ≤ numbers ≤ 999 Sample Input 1 (standard input)10 399 20 10 8 99 4 9 93 66 5599 94 10 Sample Output 1 (standard output)Maximum number is 93 Use C Language.arrow_forwardSports exercise advisor algorithm. - Bulgarian solitaire def bulgarian_solitaire(piles, k): You are given a row of piles of pebbles, all identical, and a positive integer k so that the total number of pebbles in these piles equals k*(k+1)//2, the arithmetic sum formula that equals the sum of positive integers from 1 to k. Almost as if intended as a metaphor for the bleak daily life behind the Iron Curtain, all pebbles are identical and you don't have any choice in your moves. Each move picks up one pebble from each pile (even if doing so makes that pile vanish), and creates a new pile from the resulting handful. For example, starting with[7, 4, 2, 1, 1], the first move turns this into [6, 3, 1, 5]. The next move turns that into [5, 2, 4, 4], which then turns into the five-pile configuration [4, 1, 3, 3, 4], and so on. This function should count how many moves are needed to convert the given initial piles into the goal state where each number from 1 to k appears as the size of exactly one pile, and return that count. These…arrow_forwardTime CalculatorWrite a program that asks the user to enter a number of seconds.-There are 60 seconds in a minute. If total items purchased does not equally divide by the number of diners, then abandon that combination. It may help to calculate the max number of empanadas that the budget can buy and also the max number of tacos that the budget could buy. These can be thought of as upper bounds in your loops.
