Chapter 6, Problem 5MC
Summary Introduction

Introduction:

The skeletal muscle cells require stimulation for the contraction of the muscles. A nerve cell is responsible for the stimulation of the muscle cells. The long threadlikeextension of the neuron is called the axon. This axon branches into the many axon terminals as they arrive at the skeletal muscle cells. These axon terminals form the junction with the sarcolemma of the muscle cells and are called neuromuscular junctions.
