Introduction:
Bones are the primary skeletal structures in vertebrates. Bones provide support and shape to the body. The bones also help in locomotion and maintaining the electrolyte balance of the body. Some bones contain bone marrow which is responsible for the production of all the blood cell lineages due to the totipotent nature of the stem cells contained in the bone marrow. Bones come in many different shapeslong, short, flat, irregular, wormian, and sesamoid.
