Introduction:
The major part of digestion occurs in the small intestine. With the help of pancreatic enzymes, chymotrypsin and trypsin along with intestinal enzyme, the peptide chains are broken down into tripeptides and dipeptides, and ultimately amino acids. The amino acids are then absorbed by the small intestine cells.
