Introduction: Ecosystem is defined as the interaction between the living (biotic) and nonliving (abiotic) components present in the environment. These interactions are important for the proper flow of nutrients and energy in a system. Different organisms of the ecosystem contribute in a different way and richness or absence of any one species have a great effect on the functioning of the ecosystem. So conservationists try to maintain the composition of an ecosystem. The study of the arrangement of communities and ecosystems in a geographical area is called as landscape ecology.
