Introduction: The epidermis, the top layer of skin, serves as a waterproof barrier and determines the color of our skin. Hair follicles, sweat glands, and hard connective tissue are all found in the dermis, which is located beneath the epidermis. In the deeper subcutaneous tissue (hypodermis), connective tissue and fat are combined.
